Since her husband's diagnosis in November 2009, Tammy has become a staunch brain tumor advocate. Joe and Tammy founded
Darrow's Hope in 2011. In 2013, Tammy became a volunteer advocate with the
National Brain Tumor Society.
Each year the Darrows attend the Race For Hope with their team, Darrow's Hope in Washington, DC. In 2016 the Darrows will attend brain tumor walks across the east coast of the United States.
